This song created by Joey Bada$$ talks alot about political criticism.

In the song he says:

“Obama just wasn't enough, I need some more closure”

This part of the song suggests that, even though at the time, for multicultural people having a black president didn't stop the racism that was still happening in America and stereotypes in the country. It also suggests that even though some felt happy to have a black president, Joey Bada$$ felt it still didn't erase all of the history multicultural people had been through in the past and even present.

Another family evicted, another black man a victim

That's as real as it's getting, you should take recognition

This part of the song “another family evicted” suggests now that Donald Trump has taken over from Obama lots of Latinos and Muslims living in America have been affected as Donald has had strong opinions on immigration and banning Muslims from entering the country. This has therefore resulted in people being kicked out of their homes and families being separated. “Another black man evicted” also means Americans still suffer from police brutality and racism and believes that this will continue to happen unless America start to raise awareness and begins to rise up and do something about the problems in the country.

This track was created by Childish Gambino even the title of the song ‘’this is America” on its own suggests the song is going to be about controversy in America. The central message of this song talks about guns and cultural violence in America.

The track has verses where there is a choir singing alone, then after it goes to Childish Gambino rapping. This is denoting the contradictions of being from the same cultural background where people from that background would sing in the choir but as soon as a multicultural person starts rapping the public then seem to think they are automatically involved in gang violence and gun violence, I think Childish Gambino was trying to suggest that wasn't the case for all multicultural rappers or any rapper and he was trying to get the message across to the public.

The video of this song has people dancing while there is lots of violence going on in the background. This connotes that people are distracted from what’s negative going on in the world, and are just ignoring it. Instead they are focusing mainly on the positive things going on so they don’t have to worry about anything else.

This track was created by Kendrick Lamar (Alright) this song was made following continuous incidents of people being arrested and killed by the police for no reason or for a minor incident.

Kendrick repeats the verse “we gon be alright” this verse was chanted by activists across the united states giving a message of hope to the audience. Despite the pain he is trying to say that we will survive it, this message is deeply associated with “black lives matter” and the fight against police brutality.

Kendrick also says “I can see the evil, I can tell it, I know it's illegal” this denotes that Kendrick understands what is right and wrong and he believes that right and wrong came before legal and illegal he also refers to the police department being evil and how they illegally targeted multicultural people who were unarmed and shot dead.

This is a track by Lil Baby called “Woah” this artist is widely known from today's music. Genres of music like this have used different technology such as auto tune and other sound effects to make vocals sound a lot different. This type of music has changed significantly from music in the past as people back then didn't have the technology to be able to change how they sound and it was more original.

Songs like this track by Imperial Brothers “here we come” uses an 808 composer which is a piece of equipment used to create sounds that are predominantly used in these tracks. This is different to songs made now as the software is more advanced and most songs can be made by using apps such as logic or ableton.

The whole song is about the feeling of love he has for this one person and how he wants to let her know.
