Unfortunately due to the Coronavirus pandemic I had to look at ways to do an Event but online. Firstly I wanted to try and incorporate my idea of an escape room that I was going to do for MET Fest but online however when researching this I found it was quite difficult to make my own online escape room and most of the websites that enabled me to do this didn't really give me any tips or instructions on how to do it. Furthermore I decided I would prefer to create my own radio station as Im quite into music and I have already studied DJ and electronic music and performance and production previously so I knew a few people that DJ. Secondly I researched different websites where I could create my own radio station and found Zeno Radio this is a very good platform as you can stream live or use auto DJ where it will play a playlist whenever someone tunes into my radio station. When creating this radio station I needed to think of a name to call myself and create a logo that I could use for on the website, I came up with the name Resonant Radio as it uses Alliteration which is catchy and the word resonant stands for a type of sound. I also had to research resonant radio on the internet to make sure nobody else has used this name in which i'm pretty sure nobody has. In addition to this I made my logo for my radio station and added this to the website, I had also started making a website before called Vibes Events so I finished this website off and linked it to Zeno Radio so that people that go onto my website can see upcoming events i'm doing and previous events I have done also a bit about myself as this will help with promoting me and my events. Next I needed to contact various DJs to get a mix from them that I could use on the radio station, after a while of contacting lots of different DJs I was sent a DnB mix by an artist called Elevate in which I made sure the file was downloaded to mp3 so that it could be used. I had other people that were interested in doing a mix for me too however the genre of music they played wasn't the same as the mix as I already had so I found another DnB artist who was happy to send me a mix they had sone as well to in total make the radio play for longer. As a result I was then able to create a poster promoting my radio station and both artists Elevate and NuChin which I then posted on my Vibes Events social media accounts with a date and time that I would put the radio station live and a link to the radio station and my website. Finally I made and event page on facebook and invited family and friends and kept updating my social media accounts telling people to tune in, I then got both mixes and put them onto auto DJ and bounced one mix to mp3 using logic as it wasn't already an mp3. Once this was all set up and ready for me to start I also researched what software I could use as a microphone so that I could introduce my radio and the artists once live in which I found an app called BUTT which is compatible with Zeno. Overall once my radio station was up and playing I made sure it was playing and the microphone was working for everyone by asking family in which it was. This went very smoothly and I had listeners from different countries join too  which was very uplifting to see and gave me inspiration to do more sets using Facebook live and the auto DJ setting so that whenever i'm offline others can still listen to the sets if they missed it. If I were to do this again I would be more confident in knowing how to use the radio station now that I know how it works and I would try to do my own DJ sets that I can upload and get other artists and DJs to send me tracks and mixes that I can add to my playlist to build a platform for myself and others.
