Skills, Talents and Ambitions
Skills:
Currently I have experienced a lot of skills in music by working with the software program Logic pro x, where I have learned how to make my own music tracks by creating my own drum beats, snares, kicks etc. Using the program I'm also able to change the way these beats sound by adding automation so that I can fade sounds in and out or make them louder and changing the pitch, or the sound completely by using massive which is an add on to logic. I wouldn't say this is a talent as I have had to work a lot to understand how to do this, and there is still a great deal I need to learn in order to get better and improve my skills within the music industry.
Other skills I have developed over the years are ways to promote my music and get it out to the public by contacting and working with graphic designers in order to create logos and posters to promote myself and others. using social media platforms for example Facebook, Instagram is also a good way of getting out to the desired target audience. Working myself in a pub is also a very good opportunity to hold events there and using my knowledge of promotion techniques and the official pub website to get the word out to the public.
Ambitions:
Some ambitions I have for the future is possibly focusing on getting myself a job working somewhere within the music industry. I have been studying for 3 years now within the music area and want to look at different opportunities I could partake in. looking online I have found an events management job in London - https://www.totaljobs.com/job/event-manager/madd-recruitment-ltd-job87915226
To work in this career path I would need to develop more skills such as budgeting, marketing techniques itself, communication skills, meeting deadlines etc.. I would also be working with a sales and marketing team and on my own some of the time. I would potentially be most interested in organizing festivals and gigs as supposed to just managing anything as i'm mostly interested in music. Other career paths I have looked at are Djing, if I were to do this I would have to extend my Djing skills as I haven't done this in a few years now, however having Aunties that DJ I could get them to teach me what they know and even use them to get me links to people that are looking for Djs that are interested in the music I enjoy for example House, Reggae, Old Skool… and using the promotion skills I have learned, if I were to do this I could promote myself and create my own websites instead of paying others to do the job for me.
Experiences and Talents :

I have also been to the vintage fair at Brighton racecourse and a few parties which she held herself which has inspired me to get involved with the music industry. This has helped me in having connections to Djs and also allows me to use them as a platform to create events for her using her logos websites and having a target audience that already know of her from previous events. I have also got some talents in English and media it is something I have been majority good at. This helps me with the course i'm doing as I am able to make websites and put events together by using the social media skills I have developed over the years.
